MAJOR DUTIES: The ATS Business Model (ABM) Director is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the ATS Business Model within ATS Corporation, utilizing lean techniques and tools to foster profitable growth across the organization. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - Drive continuous improvement in business performance through measurable impact (results) by leveraging ATS Business Model (ABM) tools, lean principles, coaching, facilitation, and change management practices. - Own and support the ongoing development and improvement of the ABM "toolkit", continuously improving the ABM to scale and evolve with ATS - Assist ATS Leadership in the development and execution of an ABM Roadmap - Provide formal and informal ABM training and coaching at all levels of the organization - Ensure impactful kaizen events that sustain through effective change management - Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them - Promote and facilitate employee capability building and development in various ABM tools and processes - Build ABM Culture and mindset of continuous improvement within the organization. - Benchmark and incorporate best practices both from within ATS and outside organizations - Assist in establishing and achieving Goal Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives. LOCATION: - Hybrid/Remote, primary office in Urbach, Germany. - Willingness to travel up to 50-75% QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A four-year Engineering degree or equivalent is required, specializing in industrial, electronics, electrical, mechanical or controls engineering is preferred. MBA or master's degree is also preferred. Experience: - 10 years of Operations, Engineering, and/or Management experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success in impactful continuous improvement activities - Financial acumen with solid understanding of business financial metrics and reporting. Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a "general manager's" point of view. - Extensive experience using various foundational ABM (lean) tools (i.e., 8020, Daily Visual Management, Problem Solving, Transactional Process Improvements) and Kaizen events to drive change and metric-based impact - Ability to design, develop, and implement an ABM (continuous improvement) roadmap for an operating business - Excellent consulting/influencing skills at all levels - from front-line workers to executive leaders - PMP Certified or demonstrated familiarity with Project Management best practices - Superior training skills with knowledge of adult learning theory (70/20/10 model) - Superior communications skills, able to communicate to all levels of the organization, including those where English is not their primary language - High written and verbal communication proficiency in both English and German - Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.) - Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management LI-Hybrid
