Position Overview - Tasks & Responsibilities: As a Hiwi/Working student you will be a part of our R&D team and support our engineers in the design of mechanical test set ups and the analysis of research cardiovascular devices. Tasks include but are not limited to: - Support numerous work activities as part of the development process of new medical devices. - Design prototypes and coordinate manufacturing in the prototype shop. - Analyze devices and prototypes through measurements, documentation, microscopy - Assist in research to gather background information on processes and various tests to be performed - Preparation and documentation of samples for testing - Write technical reports to document your work. - Present your results to your colleagues. Qualifications Qualifications - Education and Experience: - On-going university degree with Mechanical or Biomedical background - Or more specific: Engineering student (min. 2 years of study) with mechanical engineering / materials engineering / biomedical engineering expertise. Qualifications - Skills: - Interest in the areas of product development and medical devices - Fluent in English or German, preferably comfortable with both - Strong communication & interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a matrix organization and participate effectively both independently and as part of multiple teams - Capacity to work under strict timelines - Skills design, mechanical testing and validation - Experience with CAD programs (preferably Solidworks) - Experience using a microscope - High attention to detail - Basic anatomical & biomechanical understanding - Basic statistical knowledge - Comfortable with reading and reviewing technical documents and drawings Our Offering: - 6 months part time (up to 20 hrs/wk) Hiwi/intern position in an international healthcare company to grow your professional experience. - Exciting and intensive insight into one of the largest MedTech companies in the world - Great team and excellent sense of belonging - Many attractive benefits to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
