The Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN), based in Darmstadt, is one of 20 member churches of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). It has around 1.4 million parishioners in 1,075 parishes and employs around 19,000 people. The church administration in Darmstadt is the central service facility for all areas of our church. The Church Administration of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN) is looking for a person to join the Organization and Information Technology department as soon as possible. IT organization consultant support with a job scope of 100% (39 hours per week). Remuneration is according to E11 KDO. Your role with us: You provide support for hardware and software operated according to EKHN standards. The customers for these are the EKHN institutions. Their support services are intended to assist the institutions with problems and planned changes. In addition, support is to be provided to the extent possible on issues relating to digitalization and digital collaboration. In detail, this results in the following tasks, among others You will support the facilities in the event of problems and outages with the aim of ensuring the operational capability of the facilities from a digitalization and IT perspective Coordinating the necessary services and ensuring implementation within the framework of the EKHN standards as well as ensuring the digital operability of the facilities in subsequent regular operations They ensure that on-site operations are secured within the framework of the EKHN's digital services, which may also involve supplementing the EKHN's services Observing the EKHN standards in the standard register and, if necessary, updating this register when new standards are added and requirements change Creation and storage of a service profile for the solution used on site as part of knowledge management after completion of the consulting service Determination and analysis of any existing sources of error or identification of systematic sources of error and independent problem escalation to the internal service provider ECKD or to external service providers and monitoring of problem resolution Developing and using knowledge management for the work area and contributing to the transfer of knowledge to facilities and employees Describing solution approaches, creating solution descriptions and supporting the establishment of process management in the EKHN Development of measures for quality assurance and improvement as well as development of specific key figures for the establishment and further development of a process-specific reporting system Collaboration in project initiation and project planning as well as in the implementation of projects The tasks of the position can be adapted to operational requirements.
