Your Role
This role is for creation / optimization / testing of CNC programs for various machines for parts manufacturing / production, includes activities such as:
1. Tooling Definition
2. Feasibility Studies
3. Tool Path Creation with necessary documentation such as Cutting Parameter Sheet
4. Post Processing
5. Vericut Simulation
- Optimisation of NC programs using tools such as Third Wave Production (TWS) Module
- Prove-out of NC programs on machines
- Your role requires to create, optimize and validate offline & online CMM programs and supporting measurement related activities:
1. Create Offline / Online Program Simulation and error proofing
2. Improve / optimise existing CMM programs for better performance (accuracy / speed)
3. Determine program measurement strategy highlighting list of features that could not be programmed, with technical justification
- Create Technical Instructions, Quality documents, Inspection planning documents & programming technical pack
- Perform correlation study and identify improvement areas through validation
- Co-ordinate and interact with Customer and offshore team
- Create and share best practices / training to local users
- Maintain CMM programs and tool inventory
- Identify and report any repeating quality concerns and report
- Perform measurement systems analysis (MSA) in line with current standards
Required
1. Experience on Operating CNC Turning / Milling / Multi-axis Mill-Turn machines
2. Experience in NC-programming for Turning, Milling, Mill-Turn machines like Hermle, DMG, VDF, Mazak, etc.
3. Experience in analyzing legacy NC code & migrating to NX program
4. Experience in prove out programs on the machines
5. Experience in NX modelling & drafting preferred
6. Understanding of tool & parameter selection for machining
7. Understanding of manufacturing process / stage models, sketch plans, models and drawings
8. Knowledge on Aircraft engine components and associated Manufacturing engineering processes, machining, coatings, surface treatments, metrology, quality control, safety requirements, etc.
9. Knowledge on Cutting Tools, machining Strategies and Cutting parameters
10. Data analysis and Reporting
11. Program / Interface management experience
12. Hands-on experience in Online and Offline CMM Programming
13. Experience in performing measurements using various CMM machines
14. Ability to read and interpret engineering definitions including geometric tolerancing
15. Demonstrated experience in CAD system i.e. utilization of 3D models for CMM programming and data acquisition
16. Demonstrated knowledge in GD&T (such as ASME Y14.5M)
17. Gas Turbine / Aero engine domain exposure with Manufacturing engineering experience is preferred
18. Strong project management experience
19. Tools: Teamcenter, UG NX CAD / CAM Module, Vericut, Third Wave Production Module or similar, MS office
