Engineering for a better world Responsibilities / Tasks Ready to take manufacturing performance to the next level? As a Senior Performance & Strategy Manager, you'll be at the heart of transforming our global production performance landscape. In this impactful role, you'll turn operational data into powerful insights, develop and implement KPI frameworks, and lead performance initiatives that drive results – both on the shop floor and in the P&L. You'll work across sites and functions, pushing productivity, efficiency, and strategic alignment to new heights. KPI Framework Development & Reporting: Development and implementation of a comprehensive KPI-Tree to track and optimize both financial and operational performance Definition of key financial performance indicators (KPIs) such as EBIT, ROCE, Return on Sales, Order Intake and Working Capital Efficiency along with production specific KPIs like OEE, Capacity Utilization, Cost per Unit Produced, Machine Downtime, Production Lead Time, Losses to Rework and Scrap Rate. Ensure visibility of productivity savings through clearly defined KPIs that are directly tied to the P&L, demonstrating tangible impact on profitability. Implement standard reporting dashboards for tracking KPIs across all levels of production, from site managers to C-Level executives, driving performance insights and continuous improvement. Operational Performance Management: Continuously analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement across multiple production sites, utilizing both financial and operational KPIs to drive strategic decision-making. Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency, capacity utilization and labor productivity, ensuring that improvements are both measurable and sustainable. Work closely with local production teams to deploy best practices, improve workflows and drive process optimization through lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Driving Turnaround and Productivity Gains: Take ownership of performance improvement and turnaround initiatives at underperforming sites, developing corrective action plans that align with overall business goals. Design strategies to optimize workforce efficiency, improve equipment uptime and reduce waste scrap, driving improvements across both cost and quality metrics. Ensure that productivity improvements are translated into visible P&L savings, demonstrating a clear link between operational efficiency and financial performance. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, operations and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between financial targets and operational performance. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deploy improvement programs focused on delivering cost savings, improving delivery performance and enhancing product quality. Provide clear and actionable insights to senior leadership through regular reporting, ensuring decision makers have real time visibility into production performance Your Profile / Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in performance management or operational excellence roles withing the manufacturing industry, preferably in a global production environment. Proven experience in building and managing KPI frameworks and KPI trees to track both financial and operational performance. Track record of driving significant productivity savings and turning improvements into measureable P&L results. Skills: Strong expertise in financial analysis (e.g. EBIT, ROCE) and production metrics (e.g. OEE, cost per unit, capacity utilization). Experience with performance improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and TPM. Advanced proficiency in creating, tracking and analyzing KPIs across multiple production sites, ensuring clear link between performance and bottom-line financial results. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, matrix organization. Fluency in English; German is a plus. Leadership & Communication Strong leadership skills with experience in change management and driving improvements across multi-site production teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization from shop floor to executive management. Proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to deliver under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Miscellaneous: Willingness to travel (50%).
