About the Role
In this Role you will be collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications. Using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product, developing high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
Your Team
The SW Architect will report to the System Engineering Manager/Director and will typically be assigned to multiple projects. This position does not have any direct reports.
What You Will Do
1. Develop and contribute in defining software design strategy for the area of responsibility e.g. Project, Domain, BU ENG, Application).
2. Identify architectural constraints for the architectural level (project, domain, application) based on technical and organizational requirements and decompose them to architectural levels below.
3. Develop software architecture for the assigned architectural level fulfilling the architectural requirements.
4. Define, develop and verify all interfaces to related SW architectural elements are complete.
5. Describe, evaluate and verify dynamic behavior and interaction between the related SW architectural elements.
6. Analyze customer requirement and map them to existing architecture or extend the architecture starting from RFQ/RFI phase.
7. Analyze and address architectural relevant nonfunctional requirements.
8. Ensure traceability and consistency to system architecture and to software requirements.
What You Need
9. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering or similar discipline.
10. Experience in (embedded) Linux is a must-have.
11. Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE® especially SWE.2).
12. Knowledge of embedded software, system and understanding of Linux OS kernel and user space.
13. Proven technical leadership and ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
14. Expert knowledge and experience of Software Architecture.
15. Experience with design methods (e.g. UML or SysML) and modelling tools and languages.
16. Ability to document comprehensively and concisely, decision making and problem-solving ability.
17. The high-level grasp of the technology and ability to understand customer wishes and -make decisions, -communicate these decisions, and -control the technical direction of the project.
18. Fluent in English.
What is Nice to Have
19. Experience in AUTOSAR especially with AP is plus.
20. Competent on Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering (ISO 21434).
21. Competent on TARA methodologies.
22. Knowledge of cryptography application in automotive ecosystem.
23. Knowledge of secure coding standards.
24. Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
