As a member of our Trading team, you will contribute to brainstorming, conceptualizing and implementing our trading strategies, helping us maximize performance across different power markets. We expect you to maintain a regular presence in our Hamburg office, while also taking advantage of hybrid work options. What you will be doing: Assist in conducting Strategic Data Analysis Utilize Python and other data analysis tools to drive strategic insights and optimize trading strategies. Analyze trading performance, power markets, identifying our strengths and weaknesses to refine and test new trading strategies and forecasts Develop and Optimize Trading Strategies Strategize, brainstorm, conceptualize, implement and test new trading strategies and improvements Develop and refine quantitative models to enhance trading processes and tools Work closely with the trading team, data scientists and software developers to keep our strategies ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving energy landscape Help with Trading Operations Monitor market prices, grid conditions and our trading performance (live trading results) Monitor and analyse trading strategies React swiftly to any anomalies or disruptions, ensuring smooth and efficient trading operations and improving our automated reactions and alerts Requirements: Deep understanding of power markets and energy trading - at least 1 year of experience within the field Trading knowledge and proven experience of developing, testing and evaluating trading strategies, resolving obstacles, improving status quo i.e. via development of tools etc. (ideally, in trading renewables / energy storage) Robust analytical skillset - you love tackling analytical challenges using data and quantitative tools to uncover trading opportunities. Ability to work under pressure/high stress situations - you’ve got a good level of resilience to stay focused and rational in such contexts and are able to quickly prioritize and act.
