Job Description The Secondary Engineering Leader oversees the Control & Protection design, development, and integration of Conventional Control systems, Electrical distribution, Digital control systems/software, telecom & monitoring for both High Voltage DC and AC substations. Leading and coordinating secondary design teams, you collaborate with team leaders, support lead engineers, and manage the engineering process. Responsibilities include resource allocation, seeking design subcontractors for workload optimization, and ensuring efficient project execution within budget. You actively organize knowledge transfer and capitalize on experiences to enhance engineering efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Manage & develop a team of Secondary Engineers working for Central Europe and based at different sites - Leadership: Inspire and mentor your team of Designers for project success. - Process Ownership: - Manage the Control& Protection Design process, ensuring adherence to standards. - Drive continuous improvement of both processes and tools, ensuring alignment with customer and market needs - Develop strategic partnerships with internal and external engineering suppliers. - Projects Oversight: Direct design activities to ensure alignment with project milestones and objectives. - Resource Optimization: - Allocate resources based on projects milestone - Enhance internal competencies for efficient subcontracting - Addressing skill gaps through targeted people development plan - Collaboration: - Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Build engineering strategic partnerships to enhance project delivery and outcomes. - You support your project team lead at project launch - Performance Management: - Accountable for design budget on projects and tendering support - Establish and monitor performance metrics, providing constructive feedback for team development.
