Join Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing team to support the Intellectual Property Rights Policy Research Group and engage in a dynamic role that bridges technology, IPR and policy. This paid internship offers a comprehensive platform to explore the intersections of innovation, technology, and intellectual property rights, particularly in the area of cellular standards (2G to 5G). You’ll get the opportunity to
1. Educational Outreach: Explain the significance of IPR and Ericsson in fostering innovation across cellular technologies.
2. Simplification of complex Information: Translate complex economic data/material into clear, accessible content.
3. Research and Analysis: Dive into cutting-edge topics related to IPR and innovation through emerging technologies; conduct detailed research and synthesize findings.
4. Content Creation: Draft concise summaries of academic and business publications and potentially (if interested) author brief research papers.
5. Skill Development: Participate in a series of workshops designed to enhance both soft and hard skills, including:
- Effective presentation and debate techniques,
- Writing for academic and business audiences,
- Conflict management,
- Business English communication ,
- Understanding cellular standards,
- AI and open source environments.
Key skills
6. Educational Background: Applicants should possess a degree in economics, or be engaged in the final year of the degree. A strong interest in intellectual property rights and new technologies is highly desirable.
7. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The capacity to thrive within a diverse, multicultural team is essential.
8. Personal Attributes: We are looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who are committed team players.
