As our Product Design Lead (m/f/x), you will play a key role in shaping our mobile product design vision. Leading a talented 7-person team, you will guide them to not only execute our product design strategy but also push boundaries in how we approach user-centered, data-driven design. You’ll lead the development and maintenance of design processes, ensuring seamless communication within your team and beyond. Your expertise will also be invaluable in shaping key business and implementation decisions. As a true advocate for the user, you’ll champion their needs while leveraging insights to create innovative, human-centered designs that drive both business impact and user satisfaction. You’ll help our team grow, challenge each other, and constantly raise the bar for what we can achieve together. What you can do for us Lead and manage a diverse team of 7 designers, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, cohesive user experiences across multiple mobile banking apps. Act as the go-to expert for your team, providing support in key decisions regarding user experience and accessible interface design. Inspire and guide the team by shaping and articulating a clear vision and strategy while sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. Lead the development and maintenance of design processes together with our Design Ops Lead and UX Writers, ensuring alignment with relevant teams at both Neugelb and Commerzbank for seamless collaboration. Support and mentor designers in achieving their career goals and personal development through regular feedback, coaching, and by cultivating a supportive, growth-focused environment. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive successful discovery and delivery of design solutions within agile, iterative workflows. What you should bring to the table You have 7 years of experience delivering successful design work for digital products, including 2 years of leadership experience as a visionary, coach, and team builder, empowering designers to do their best. You are passionate about great user experiences and people, balancing the big picture with the details in your daily work. You bring a strong team spirit and excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment. You possess empathy and the ability to unify people and ideas across disciplines, inspiring others and guiding designs toward solutions that are strategic, creative, and data driven. You have extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile environments and working with user research and analytics colleagues, as well as with design systems. You are naturally curious and enjoy learning new things, always seeking ways to improve your skills. You communicate fluently in English within the team and are proficient in German. Nice to have: Experience in the financial services sector or related industries, and a passion for development and automation topics.
