Your responsibilities
Research associates will be expected primarily to teach and conduct research. The research associate will also have the opportunity to pursue further academic qualifications, in particular a doctoral dissertation. At least one-third of set working hours will be made available for the research associate’s own academic work.
They will be giving the following courses:
1. winter semesters: seminar on “Intelligent Robotics”, Project Intelligent Robotics, as well as the practical course "Mobile Robots”, starting from 01.10.24
2. summer semesters: practical course “Introduction to Robotics” and the project “Intelligent Robotics”
4 teaching hours (LVS) per week. Research on multimodal Large Language Models to guide manipulation, sensors and perception, preferably with publications at journals and conferences.
Your profile
A university degree in a relevant field.
At least a Master, Diploma or equivalent degree in Computer Science is required for the integration of new methodology from the emerging multimodal Large Language Model aspect toward a human robot interaction system. Extensive programming knowledge in ROS (C++, C, Python), and model training frameworks e.g. Pytorch, Keras, and Tensorflow as well as practical experience with NVIDIA clusters of GPUs such as H100 are required. Good knowledge of English (written and oral), ability to work in a team as well as confident presentation skills are essential. Work experience in related industries would be welcomed.
