Job Description
Santen is looking for a Medical Science Liaison to join their team in Germany. The position is field-based in combination with home office, and the regions you will cover are Leipzig, Dresden, and Berlin.
What you will do
As a Medical Science Liaison, you will support key medical affairs activities, working closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) as well as internal colleagues e.g., Sales & Marketing, Clinical Development, and other Medical Affairs functions.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
* Maximizing physician awareness of Santen by providing medical expertise; collecting scientific and medical feedback from our customers.
* Attending local, national, and international congresses to meet with opinion leaders, observe podium presentations, and maintain an in-depth understanding of scientific and therapeutic advances.
* Presenting data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, and pharmacists upon request, such as in Hospital Meetings. Present relevant data to Santen internal colleagues, for example during Santen conventions.
* Helping develop scientific educational materials, participating in the development of customer training/education programs, and training Santen internal colleagues.
* Supporting local sites involved in R&D or Medical Affairs studies if requested.
* Following GDP guidelines.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
* University Degree in Life Science (MD, pharmacist, biologist).
* Spoken language: Native German; Fluency in English.
* Ability to learn and effectively convey clinical, scientific, and medical information.
* Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills, excellent teaching skills, and business acumen.
* Ability to respond to scientific and medical inquiries with the most up-to-date, accurate, and relevant information.
* Hands-on leader who is highly adept at building cross-functional relationships in a pan-European/international environment.
* Demonstrate an open, supportive, team-oriented style with the ability to influence key audiences both inside and outside the company.
* Capability to work independently, creatively, and innovatively is expected.
* Ability to travel.
