Chemours TSS (Thermal and Specialized Solutions) is looking for a Business Development Representative with some experience in HVAC-R industry to support German market and rapidly develop our new business opportunities in this territory. This position will report directly to the Business Development Leader and will cover the region of Germany and Austria. In this position he/she be in close collaboration with local and regional roles. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and maintain strong relationship with key decision makers at all levels and in key functions, i.e. R&D, manufacturing, marketing, purchasing and management with the objective of understanding and supporting customer’s decision processes. Gather and share market intelligence on overall trends in both F-Gas adoption and the transition to Next Generation Fluorochemical or other cooling solutions. Identify and make high level contact with value chain key stakeholders (including OEMs, End-Users & Distributors) in key targeted segments (e.g. commercial/Transport Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps, Data Centers etc…) to drive market penetration of Opteon™ portfolio range. Understand the reference market segments and how the major OEMs, end-users and other key industry players are structured: develop knowledge of industry trends and needs and evaluates new opportunities, markets and applications for Opteon™ products in order to provide solutions which support these trends and needs. Work with end-users, contractors and Chemours’ channel partners for conversion to HFO technologies. Develop case histories and references from field activities to support the marketing program. Cooperate with other internal resources to organize seminars with contractors and smaller end-user groups to multiply the broad adoption of Chemours technologies throughout the territory. Develop and maintain an updated view of the associative scenario in the reference territory including, wherever possible, key actors, decision makers and influencers. Report information and coordinate actions with the relevant functions (technology, sales, advocacy). The Following Is Required For This Role Location : based in Germany, preferably, but not limited, on the Ruhr-Frankfurt area, with main traveling activities in Germany and Austria, as well as potentially other European countries on specific projects University level or higher educational background preferably in engineering or chemical engineering. Min. 3-5 years sales & business development experience in cooling industry, with understanding of how to develop and present value propositions. Well-developed interpersonal skills in building strong relationships with both customers and internal supporting organizations (Sales, Marketing, Technical, Advocacy) with positive, proactive and cooperative approach. Fluent in German and English, other European language capabilities are a bonus.
