Purpose
As a Director Digital Strategy in adidas Digital you are accountable for defining high impact strategies and identifying strategic opportunities for growth as input into the Digital portfolio. Your task is to turn these into actionable reality through orchestrating the delivery of the end-to-end landscape of Digital. This includes leading alignment across the stakeholder network in digital and beyond and driving a wider transformation of the company towards a more digital culture and mindset.
Key Accountabilities
Scope: Accountable for the definition of strategy and orchestration of critical initiatives to deliver against strategic goals
Strategy Creation
* Drive shaping the overarching Digital Strategy, evolving and planning the core levers to achieve brand and sales objectives.
* Drive the positioning of digital within the group’s wider strategic direction and priorities.
* Identify strategic opportunities for growth and propose possible ways to capitalize on them.
Strategy Execution
* Drive the realization of the Digital Strategy by leading the overall portfolio of strategic initiatives.
* Drive business development activities such as identification and prioritization of opportunities. Take responsibility from concept development and implementation until handover to business for steady state operations.
* Support direct program management for cross-functional initiatives in leading towards business goals. Drive for results and monitor progress in achieving goals.
* Monitor the performance of strategic initiatives within your scope of responsibility. Identify deviations from targets and drive necessary changes.
Change Management
* Enable strategy execution by developing and spearheading key change initiatives.
* Monitor and evaluate changes implemented. Provide formal, continuous communication with leadership stakeholders and DBC community on success metrics.
* Evolve existing frameworks based on learnings during implementation.
Communication
* Develop key strategy updates for internal and external audiences, tailoring content and messaging by audience.
* Manage community engagement through internal collaboration tools.
* Support ongoing communication by preparing regular huddles and celebrating success stories in collaboration with key DBC stakeholders.
* Support in the validation of external communication stories.

* Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions.
* Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of data and team feedback and make appropriate changes in order to meet business needs.
* Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and DBC objectives.
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
* Ideally Master degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 10+ years of in-depth experience related to strategic projects management or similar topics
* 6-8 years of professional experience in the digital ecosystem environment
* Experience in Finance is a plus
* Experience working with stakeholders at various seniority levels as well as subject matter experts across various functions (Developers, business stakeholders, product and marketing teams, etc.)
* 3+ years of experience in leading a team
