Overview
The Media & Analytics Director for Germany and Netherlands at Circana is a commercial role focused on leading the commercial efforts for Media & Analytics solutions within the German and Netherlands market within the CPG Industry. This position is tasked with driving the revenue growth of Circana's Media & Analytics solutions, enhancing relationships with German and Netherlands clients, and ensuring the successful delivery and management of Media & Analytics programs within the two countries. The successful candidate will report to the Head of EMEA Media & Analytics for CPG Industry and will collaborate with the two countries' organization and other key stakeholders to maximize revenue opportunities and solidify the company's market presence in Germany.
Main Responsibilities
1. Growth and Client Expansion: Spearhead the renewal and expansion of Media & Analytics solutions within Germany and Netherlands.
2. Revenue Generation: Identify and close opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell Media & Analytics solutions to existing clients, thereby enhancing the revenue stream within the market.
3. Revenue Development: Generate new opportunities through prospect clients leveraging Circana and own client network.
4. Financial Performance Management: Manage financial performance through the use of our CRM and pipeline management reports. Ensure complete and accurate views of the Media & Analytics commercial activity and plan.
5. Client Relationship Management: Conduct comprehensive reviews of Media & Analytics programs to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
6. Program Management: Manage the commercial aspects and delivery of Media & Analytics programs for key German and Netherlands clients, aligning with their needs and Circana's standards.
Strategic Account Management
1. Client Strategy Development: Work in tandem with the regional leadership and local market teams to devise strategies that meet German and Netherlands clients' objectives and strengthen Circana's position in the two markets.
2. Opportunity Identification: Utilize insights from the markets to uncover and pursue new business opportunities, expanding engagement across various client teams within Germany and Netherlands.
3. RFP Leadership: Direct Circana’s responses to RFPs specific to the German and Netherlands market, with the goal of securing and broadening client business across additional brands.
Consultative Selling
1. Needs Assessment: Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their business needs and challenges, positioning Circana’s solutions as effective responses.
2. Solution Framing: Develop customized proposals that resonate with the objectives of German and Netherlands clients, showcasing a deep understanding of their business environment and the value of Circana’s solutions both in Media and Revenue Management.
3. Client Advocacy: Serve as a bridge between clients and internal teams (Product and Delivery) to ensure that client feedback informs product development and service improvement efforts.
Industry Expertise
1. Media Competencies: Own experience in storytelling based on data analysis, media modeling, and/or MediaLift take-out experience is key.
2. Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities within the German market, leveraging this knowledge in strategic planning and client interactions.
3. Competitive Strategy: Assess competitor actions and market dynamics in Germany and Netherlands to refine Circana’s offerings, ensuring competitiveness in services and client engagements.
4. Educational Initiatives: Lead and engage in workshops and seminars aimed at enhancing industry knowledge among the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.

1. Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams across geographic and functional boundaries to achieve business objectives.
2. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret client needs, and develop strategies that align with both client and company goals.
3. Effective Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively negotiating and persuading clients and stakeholders at all levels.
4. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the media and analytics landscape in Germany (and ideally Europe), with a proven track record of fostering growth and client satisfaction.
5. Language: Mother tongue in German, or extremely fluent; Dutch language knowledge is optional.
