RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Group Accounting & Reporting department prepares the consolidated financial statements and is responsible for the management and financial reporting of the BASF Group. We are looking for reinforcements for our Financial Reporting Principles group.
* You will contribute to the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly financial statements of the BASF Group, as well as the associated internal and external reporting.
* You will independently handle an IFRS accounting topic. In this role, you will be the central point of contact for topic-related questions, especially from our subsidiaries. You will also develop analyses, write opinions, and be responsible for preparing the relevant disclosures.
* In collaboration with other units of the BASF Group, you will address accounting-related issues.
* Project tasks and participation in other topics related to financial reporting complete your area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
* completed degree in business administration or economics
* relevant professional experience in finance or taxation, ideally within BASF
* practical and theoretical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
* proficient in working with IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and data analysis
* strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in both English and German
