Responsibilities responsible for the professional and personal management of the department with a total of approx. 6-8 employees (it is our intention to gradually increase this number after a certain period of time) in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, assets, bank and general ledger Responsibility for the smooth running of day-to-day business and compliance with internal guidelines Contributing to the continuous optimization and digitalization of workflows and processes Preparation of monthly reporting and derivation of optimization potentials Assumption of special tasks Creating/Control the weekly payment run Liquidity management (control and optimization of payment transactions) Organization of result-optimized processes in accounts receivable and accounts payable management and implementation and monitoring of internal control systems Execution of dunning runs, as well as reconciliation of open items Main contact person for other departments on finance and accounting topics Contact person for accounting topics and tax law issues Competent contact person for auditors, tax consultants, internal managers and internal auditors including assistance with auditing and communication with tax consultants, banks and tax authorities Direct reporting line to the Head of Accounting and work closely with other departments of the company preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS for consolidation/reporting purposes as well as annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) Support in projects for the further development, optimization and implementation of systems, processes and accounting guidelines support of the financial accounting of individual Group companies Competent contact person for auditors, tax consultants, internal managers and tax auditors Support during tax audits by the tax authorities Support in projects for the further development, optimization and implementation of systems, processes and accounting guidelines Guidelines and support for the assigned current employees Creation of statistics and analyses for the German Bundesbank (i.e. Z5A1, Z5A2, Z4…) Professional contact person for colleagues and other departments Requirements university degree in economics or a comparable qualification Completed commercial apprenticeship 3 years of professional experience in national (HGB) and international accounting (IFRS) Several years of professional experience in the accounting department of a company knowledge of accounting according to IFRS and HGB Fluent written and spoken German and English experience, preferably in a company with group structures good knowledge of SAP FI and MS Office, especially Excel Quick comprehension and strong organizational skills Strong ability to work in a team and high service orientation (friendly and very confident appearance at all levels) Compensation DP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
