The SalesSpecialist Imaging at Molecular Devices is responsible foridentifying customer needs and offering innovative solutions thatadvance scientific research while working in the company’s bestinterest to maximize opportunities, close deals effectively, andensure strong commercialoutcomes.
This positionreports to the European Sales Director Imaging and is part of thecommercial department, with the company’s subsidiary based inMunich, Germany. The role is remote and focused on covering theterritory of Southern Germany andAustria.
In thisrole, you will have the opportunityto:
* Collaborate with aEuropean team of experienced Imaging Sales Specialists andcross-functional Sales Colleagues to deliver innovative solutionsto customers.
* Maintain accurate CRM (SFDC)records to support structured sales processes, forecasting, andreporting.
* Actively engage in weekly funnelreviews, marketing meetings, and timely submission of requiredreports.
* Contribute to the creation and upkeepof a comprehensive Territory Plan to drive strategicgrowth.
* Consistently achieve monthly and annualsales targets within the assignedterritory.
Theessential requirements of the jobinclude:
* BSc degree orhigher, preferably in a life science area with a biology backgroundor related.
* At least 3 years customer facingexperience in Life sciences business within Academic or Governmentor Biotech or Pharma research laboratories, like direct sales,sales support, applications support, technical support, service orother customer facing role.
* A solid commercialacumen paired with the drive to support our customers’ researchthrough cutting-edge solutions.
* Native Germanspeaker or German language proficiency at B2/C1 level. Fluent inEnglish, both written and spoken.
* Practicalexperience in cellular biology, such as working with mammalian cellcultures
Travel,Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Must have a valid driver’slicense with an acceptable drivingrecord
* ability to travel and work away fromhome, including occasional overnight trips to visit customers andinternational travel to collaborate with teams across MolecularDevices.
* On average 2-3 days per week withcustomervisits
Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:
* Manual or automatedcellular microscopy by education or from previousjob.
* Customer Relationship Management (CRM)software, such asSalesforce.com
