We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join Amazon Chemical Safety and Compliance team and lead high-impact, global initiative focused on improving safety and compliance processes. The role requires someone who prioritizes well, has a consistent track record of successful high complexity project delivery, is experienced in creating and presenting documentation for senior executives, has proven ability to manage, influence, and engage a broad group of stakeholders and to align plans with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as experience at data analysis for identifying root causes and developing solutions, with strong customer-focused approach to problem-solving. Key job responsibilities Key responsibilities include · Defining the strategy for Chemical Safety and Compliance worldwide · Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand challenges and business needs and help identify solutions · Leading the global strategy to enable selling partners to comply with chemical safety requirements · Collaborating with other Amazon teams to identify best practices and opportunities · Leveraging data analysis skills to clarify ambiguous problems, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams where necessary, communicating and implementing recommendations. · Monitoring and reporting on multiple activities' progress, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting the overall program deliverables. About the team The Chemical Safety and Compliance team focuses on identifying hazardous chemicals in our global catalog through technology and machine learning models, collecting the required safety warnings and documentation (Safety Data Sheets), and ensuring safe listing, storage, handling, and disposal.
