We are currently looking for an experienced PostDoc to join our team for a duration of two years:
In your new role, you investigate the mode of action of new herbicides.
Therefore, you develop and operate molecular/cell biological assays and analytical methods.
You apply your knowledge to solve biological questions relevant for lead chemistry evaluation and optimization in/on plants.
Data analysis, reporting, presentation and discussion of your results are also part of your tasks.
Last but not least, you get the opportunity to work in project teams together with scientists in interdisciplinary teams.
PhD in biology, chemical biology, biochemistry or related fields
strong background in the analysis of plant biological systems along with expertise in plant physiology and cell biology
profound knowledge in molecular biology (plasmid design, transformation, cloning and protein expression, plant transformation vectors) and microbial expression systems
experience in working with plants as well as in performing cell biological assays (reporter assays, fluorescence microscopy etc.)
proactive and motivated team player with excellent communication and presentation skills in English as well as German or willingness to learn German
eager to develop your personal skills and to learn about industrial research and the latest research in relevant fields
