Analyzing, structuring, planning, optimizing of Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio with focus on Heat and Refrigeration (HRT) products Developing and designing IP strategies and business models for future topics in collaboration with the BU IP Board Evaluation of mechanical and process inventions Strengthening IP processes in the development teams Strengthening the internal program to solicit patentable ideas Advising on contractual clauses concerning IP Strategic surveillance of third-party IP in relevant fields Securing Freedom to Operate (FTO) for new products Responsibility for local and divisional patent and trademark budgets and cost-benefit analyses Ensure that our established IP procedures and IP guidelines are followed, and suggest related improvements Providing internal training and workshops on IP Managing external patent and trademark attorneys Broad mechanical, electrical or energy background, Specialized IP knowledge in patents and preferably also trademarks and designs Engineer (Diplomingenieur, M. Sc. or corresponding) Documented IP experience Open minded and genuine interest in IP Self-starter Organized with a sense of urgency Able to juggle multiple tasks at the same time Familiarity with patent search tools would be a plus Strong communication skills – both orally and in writing in English.
