OlamAid e.V. is an international aid organization based in Berlin, dedicated to
responding to the evolving needs of crisis and conflict-affected populations. Our
mission is to support communities as they transition from crisis to recovery,
rehabilitation, and sustainable living.
As the Development Manager at OlamAid, you will play a key leadership role in
shaping and executing the organisation’s growth strategy. You will be responsible for
overseeing the development and expansion of strategic partnerships, securing diverse
funding streams, and elevating OlamAid’s visibility across various platforms. This role
requires a dynamic, strategic thinker with proven management experience in
fundraising, communications, and partnership-building, ideally within the humanitarian
or non-profit sectors.

Tasks
● Team Leadership:
Provide strategic leadership to the Development team, aligning their efforts with
OlamAid’s overall mission and objectives. Foster a high-performance culture and
support professional development for team members through mentorship and
goal-setting.
● Strategic Fundraising:
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising
strategy, focusing on diversifying funding sources from private donors,
foundations, governmental bodies, and corporate partners. Identify and capitalize
on new opportunities for long-term financial growth, ensuring the sustainability of
OlamAid’s mission and activities. Foster high-level relationships with major donors,
philanthropic partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen long-term support.
● Strategic partnerships:
Build and nurture strategic partnerships with public institutions, foundations, and
corporate entities to enhance OlamAid’s impact. Ensure OlamAid’s accountability
to donors in terms of reporting and external communications. Provide oversight of
the annual report and ensure compliance with donor agreements. Lead on
reporting to public donors and other key stakeholders.
● Organizational Visibility and Media Leadership:
Oversee the strategic direction of OlamAid’s external communications to enhance
its visibility across digital platforms and media outlets. Lead campaigns that
resonate with donors, partners, and the general public. Ensure brand consistency
and oversee media strategies that support OlamAid’s growth, mission and impact.
Requirements
● Experience in a leadership role within fundraising, communications, or business
development, ideally in the non-profit or humanitarian sectors.
● Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-faceted fundraising and
communications strategies at a high level.
● Experience managing relationships with high-profile donors, government bodies,
and corporate partners.
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide complex initiatives from concept to
completion.
● Excellent communication skills in both German (C1 level written and spoken) and
English.
● A proven track record of managing teams and achieving organizational goals
through strategic leadership.
● A passion for OlamAid’s mission and a commitment to advancing humanitarian
