This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany. AND EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben Prepares and operates facility in accordance with LTA weekly facility scheduling bulletin. Conducts daily inspection of facility before training to include: range perimeter, support building, communication system, range shed, target frames and other facility equipment. Sets up targets for first firing order. Verifies the names of range OIC and safety officer IAW range request. Ensures that medical personnel and aid vehicle are present at facility. Contacts LTA supervisor if discrepancies exist with the names of range OIC and safety officer. Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that no weapons are allowed in the support building. Is responsible that the ammunition used at the indoor firing range is the type classified as safety prescribes it. Keeps a daily log (DA Form 1594) on unit and number of personnel firing at the facility. Conducts joint inspection of facility with the OIC or NODIC at end of training day for cleanliness of support building, police call, and accountability of range equipment. All deficiencies are corrected on the spot. Prepares range equipment for next training use as required. Performs operator maintenance of facility, Load and Unload CLV replica ammunitions, and equipment. Cuts grass, fills and replaces sandbags as necessary. Maintains bullet stop IAW safety regulations. Requests and maintains adequate range supplies (target frames, glue, and cleaning material) to support training. Contacts Directorate of Public Works (DPW) for waste and trash removal. Ensures that entire facility is in a high state of cleanliness and order at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
