Alternative locations are Zurich and Vienna. As the OEC Manager DACH Region, you'll have the chance to lead the local compliance efforts within the biggest European Affiliate (Germany, Austria & Switzerland), collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including Leadership, provide guidance and coaching to direct report. This role reports directly to the OEC Director DACH and CEE. What You'll Do - Lead the local compliance efforts for the DACH region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) based on an effective compliance program. Follow and report local compliance developments to prepare the business for new regulations. Create and expand compliance awareness and knowledge. - Collaborate with local leaders to provide compliance insights to help business maintain and meet local legal and industry association code requirements as these arise and change. - Develop and implement effective compliance program, including adoption and following periodical review of compliance policies and procedures. - Direct and administrat e regular trainings and communications: on-boarding for new employees; code of conduct; compliance policies (especially anti-corruption); communication letters to employees; as needed, training and educating of Abbott colleagues in various compliance areas (policies and procedures, healthcare compliance, FCPA, local penal code and country specific compliance codes and other requirements). - Drive the monitoring process to ensure proper controls over major business activities (professional services, donations, employee business expenses, sponsorships of events etc.); provision of guidance to finance / internal controls team on execution of monitoring process. - Prepar e and participat e in Affiliate Compliance Committee (ACC) meetings, facilitation of open discussion between key affiliate stakeholders (GMs, FD, HR, Legal, Medical & Regulatory, OEC) across the DACH region. - Support corporate initiatives and actions, such as the affiliate compliance enhancement (ACE), third-party program (3PP), SpeakUp hotline, and provide active support during corporate audits and/or investigations. - Review and retain current knowledge of industry trends in compliance, trends in healthcare marketing including the usage of new technologies as well as trends in the healthcare industry. - Provide guidance and coaching to a direct report. Required Qualifications - University degree in Law or Finance (preferred) or Sales / Marketing, Business Administration, Economics. - 6 years of relevantprevious work experience in Compliance is a must - Very good knowledge of the healthcare industry in the DACH region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland). - High proficiency in English (oral and written). - Sound common sense judgment, good ethical compass. - Experience in development, implementation, updating and monitoring of compliance systems. - Capable of managing competing priorities; excellent time management & organizational skills. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Well versed in giving presentations and in training groups of people. - Strong understanding of legal matters. - "Big picture" view and process-oriented thinking. Preferred Qualifications - Preferred proficiency in German (oral and written). - University degree in Law or Finance. - Experience in the following areas: Sales/Marketing within the healthcare industry, Medical, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Internal Audit.
