As part of Asset-Based Financing, Commodity Trade Finance specializes in providing tailored financing and trade finance solutions for commodity clients. Our dynamic, global business works with sophisticated commodity traders to meet their complex financing needs. For our Munich hub, we are seeking a motivated professional to manage client relationships and generate new business as a key member of our client coverage team. What you'll be doing
* Client Relationship Management: Build and manage strong relationships with commodity trading clients. Identify, structure, and drive finance opportunities within strategic and risk frameworks.
* Business Development: Explore and develop attractive opportunities in new markets and product areas. Drive innovative solutions to expand the CTF portfolio and enhance profitability.
* Transaction Assessment: Evaluate and approve transactions in collaboration with the Collateral Management (CM) team and other departments, ensuring compliance with policies and risk guidelines.
* Daily Business Execution: Operate within approved credit lines, manage specialized risks, and ensure accurate deal representation in the booking systems in coordination with the collateral management team.
* Credit and Documentation Oversight: Support credit request preparation, monitor limits and exposures, and manage documentation processes for bilateral and syndicated facilities.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Credit Analysts, Portfolio Management, Risk, and Syndications to deliver seamless transaction execution and risk monitoring.
* Strategy and Market Insight: Analyze market trends, contribute to product and marketing strategies, and promote sustainable growth through innovative financial solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in business, economics, law, or accounting with at least 3 years of trade finance or corporate banking experience.
* Proven expertise in commodity finance, transactional and trade finance products (e.g. L/Cs, guarantees), and corporate finance (e.g. syndicated loans).
* Strong experience in client relationship management and business development with a focus on profitable growth.
* An open, integrative mindset with a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving.
* Proficiency in IT banking platforms and advanced MS Office skills and fast learner and adapter to new technologies.
* Fluent in German and English, additional language skills are a plus.
* Highly motivated, with strong multitasking, organizational, and analytical skills, capable of managing complex workloads under pressure.
