As a Senior Internal Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing comprehensive audit programs that assess the bank's financial risk management practices. You will collaborate closely with senior management and various departments to identify areas of improvement, provide strategic insights, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in financial risk audits and your ability to communicate complex issues effectively will be crucial in driving our audit function forward. Your Tasks: Continuously review and maintain the audit framework for financial risk audits, working closely with the local management team. Contribute to defining the risk-based annual audit plan for financial risk audits. Provide auditing services and advice on managing risks by performing audits, issuing independent opinions in the financial risk area, and making corresponding recommendations. Gain and apply a thorough understanding of audits and assigned functions, including the use of technology and active utilization of Data Analytics. Perform follow-up work on audits to assess whether recommendations have been suitably implemented. Examine issues critically and objectively from an informed, balanced, and risk-based perspective before making recommendations or reaching conclusions. Your Knowledge/Experience: Recognized university degree (preferably in mathematics, economics, econometrics, or business administration) with a track record of continuous development. Several years of recent professional experience within an audit function of a bank or in consultancy, auditing financial risk, or a credit background. In-depth knowledge of European banking regulations and their implementation in banks. Proven ability to effectively communicate risks and complex issues. Embrace a hands-on mentality and proactively tackle challenges. Very good communication skills in verbal and written English. Good German is a plus.
