Role Description The Capital Markets Solution Consultant role is a key role within the FNZ Capital Markets Product Management team. The role involves business engagement with clients to ensure that requirements are understood and communicated to internal teams for delivery. Team Responsibilities The FNZ Capital Markets Product Management team is responsible for the defining and managing Syn feature sets and configuration, plus supporting the sales team in winning & sizing new projects. Syn is a market-leading post-trade platform, providing middle and back-office processing across multiple markets and asset classes. The team also provides business consulting for existing and new broking, custody and clearing customers in a variety of contexts, including proposition definition, Scope definition, Business transformation, customer training and knowledge transfer, and the definition of bespoke requirements where required for customer Syn solutions. Once business outcomes are understood from FNZ clients, these must be accurately documented and fed into the development team to ensure they are easily understood and precise to deliver the right outcome for our clients. The team also works closely with FNZ’s Technology, Delivery and Support teams to ensure that robust and supportable solutions are delivered into production environments. Specific Role Responsibilities Provide leadership and support for across FNZ client projects and providing mentoring for other team members. Help define and prioritise proposition and product requirements with FNZ customers & internal stakeholders. Provide capital markets expertise as required. Be an SME in FNZ Syn Platform functionality and apply this understanding to help customers define propositions that best utilise or enhance FNZ core platform capabilities. Have a full understanding of a Platform Target Operating Model, including the interfaces between Syn Platform and customers operations. Provide advice to customers regarding best practice operating model design. Run workshops with clients to define end-to-end flows, L0-L1 (high level) requirements, business matrices and system context overviews. Define product improvements to L2 (summary level) for break-down by business analysts. Provide training programmes and knowledge transfer services for FNZ staff and customers. Work with Product Owners to ensure that solutions propose for client projects are consistent with product capabilities and direction. Understand and guide detailed aspects of a customer delivery including enhancement specifications, configuration, test cases, API specifications, training guides, release notes. Maintain an ongoing knowledge of the regulatory environment (eg ESMA, FCA, SWIFT) and provide advice and guidance to customers in respect of delivering a compliant platform. Provide compelling, professional and reliable pre-sales outcomes via presentations, product demonstrations and pre-sales workshops. Respond to RFPs and RFI’s as they arise by way of responses to functional questions. Experience required Preferred Experience Experience in a consulting, business analysis in securities back-office processing. Brokerage, clearing or custody operations experience Good understanding of Clearing House, CSD and Custody processing and messaging API’s (Clearstream, Monte Titoli, Eurex, Euroclear) FNZ SynOps platform expertise or experience with competitor platforms. For the jurisdiction being hired for, an understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operates within and a knowledge of the upcoming changes.
