For our department Global Research & Development and Innovation we are seeking to recruit an Innovation Manager (f/m/d).
In this role you will be responsible for establishing a global innovation network that promotes innovation and sustainability within the company. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and evaluating opportunities for innovative products, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's goals.
You will directly report to the position Vice President Global Research & Development and Innovation. Your place of work will be Leimen, near Heidelberg, Germany.
As an Innovation Manager (f/m/d), you will cultivate a culture of creativity and innovation within the company. Your role involves conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities, evaluating innovative product ideas, and sharing best practices to add value.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with company goals, develop compelling business cases, and identify startups with innovative solutions in the cement and concrete industry. Additionally, you will mentor startups and build a strong network with industry partners to explore sustainable construction opportunities.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
* Identify and scale new business and entrepreneurial opportunities in the sustainable construction market value chain
* Compile technical-economic assessments at varying levels of detail, based on project maturity
* Develop a structured process for collecting internal and external insights, products, and solutions, in close collaboration with various departments, commercial managers, and international teams
* Create and share best practices to convert them into added value for Heidelberg Materials
* Organize and lead internal innovation challenges to foster creativity and innovation within the company
YOUR PROFILE
* A master's degree in industrial economics, engineering or material science and related fields
* A minimum of 5-8 years of business experience, ideally in construction materials
* Industry experience in development of innovative, sustainable solutions
* Strategic thinking and planning skills, with a strong sense for business applications.
* Strong analytic capabilities
* Curious to innovative technologies and partnerships
* Proactive 'can-do' mentality and openness to new solutions
* Entrepreneurial thinking, social skills, active listening, and critical questioning
* Excellent communication skills to present compelling and clear value propositions
