You’ve come to the right place As a team member in our diverse HR Organization, the Early Career & University Relations Manager will be an agile, team oriented, self-starter, who is capable of working in a highly matrixed organization. This person will report to the Talent Acquisition Director for Germany and work closely with the business, workers’ council and have direct line management responsibility for the Early Career team members. You will set up and deliver AbbVie’s Early Career strategy for Germany and position AbbVie as the employer of choice in the biopharma industry Regular presence between AbbVie sites in Wiesbaden and Ludwigshafen may be necessary at times. Make your mark: · You will be responsible for shaping and structuring the Early Career & University Relations strategy as well as the EC and Apprenticeship Programs that Abbvie offers · The right candidate will have experience in how to attract and develop talented professionals that can be part of our future workforce / future leaders · Key priorities for this role will be providing leadership and strategic direction to define and manage AbbVie’s Early Career programs, all the way from our apprentices and interns/students to our trainees/professional development programs · This position will work closely with the business leaders, TA and HR Directors locally and globally to create the strategy and program design to ensure a sustainable pipeline of talent · You will also collaborate with colleagues across the globe to share best practices and enhance the quality of the early career development program experience at AbbVie. This is how you can make a difference: · Define and execute the Early Career strategy for Germany: Aesthetics, R&D, Operations and Commercial functions. · This includes but not limited to: strategy, design, purpose, structure, governance, controlling/reporting, post program management, leader meetings, budget and works council · Create and maintain a strategic workforce plan to anticipate and prepare for future organizational needs · Establish a program curriculum focused on functionality and development · Review and establish best in class talent and performance assessments for our potential candidates · Leverage global Early Career programs to complement local strategies and programs · Partner with Talent Acquisition on sourcing and conversions · Develop a retention / return strategy for Early Career talent including transfer planning into experienced hire roles · Further develop the creation and maintenance of the Alumni program · Establish a true business partnership model internally with senior leaders, assignment managers, human resources partners, talent management and talent acquisition on all early career related activities · Partner with the Works Council and find mutually beneficial solutions · Leads the communication on updates, metrics and data regarding external hiring trends · Identifies opportunities to build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with schools and universities and professors and evolve these into a source of talent · Actively engages with Employee Value Proposition team · Leads, manages and develops a high performing EC team. · Identify efficiencies and improvements in the current process, challenge status quo for added value to business stakeholders · Design, in collaboration with our EVP Specialist, Germany’s EC talent attraction and event strategy · Identify opportunities to continuously evolve the overall university recruiting process and employer branding efforts.
