About the Job We’re looking for a motivated Account Executive - Italy (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and support its go-to-market strategies. In your day-to-day work, you’ll ensure that our portfolio company’s business-critical services are optimised and get the opportunity to contribute to various projects. Founded in 2021, the company is a trailblazing supply chain platform that has redefined the way large construction material orders are sourced, distributed, and financed. They are on a mission to unlock the vast potential of cross-border supply for the Western Market by providing access to high-quality construction materials at a global scale through their innovative platform. Since its launch in January 2022, the company has successfully served hundreds of companies and generated exponential growth toward profitability. Its distinct competitive advantage lies in its ability to organize the supply chain through digital innovation. Eliminating middlemen and embracing tech-first and AI, it creates a seamless connection between suppliers and buyers. Its proprietary platform technology not only facilitates supply and demand matching but also offers a comprehensive suite of services, including cloud inventory management, fulfillment solutions, and fintech capabilities. The platform provides a user-friendly experience that empowers businesses to thrive. The team currently counts 75 FTEs located across Germany (Berlin HQ), China, and India. The company is on track to achieve profitability and generated triple-digit million GMV. In this role, you’ll: Facilitate and oversee transactions on the marketplace to ensure seamless trade between buyers and suppliers Collaborate with both buyers and suppliers to address any issues, inquiries, or challenges that may arise during the trading process Stay informed about market trends, product demand, and industry dynamics to make informed trading decisions Conduct regular analysis of trade data and provide insights to enhance trading strategies Build and maintain strong relationships with both buyers and suppliers to foster long-term partnerships Address any concerns or feedback from clients and work towards effective problem resolution Work closely with the technology team to provide feedback on platform functionality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Ensure all trades comply with relevant regulations and internal policies. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and contribute to the development of compliance protocols Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus You have prior experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management, or Account Management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills You demonstrate excellent Italian skills and strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment A basic understanding of national and international trade and supply chain management is a plus Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
