The Sales Assistant will assist in maintaining client files, answering incoming calls, providing support to other internal teams, entering orders and working with drafting to provide layouts for product. Other duties include assisting in documentation, participating in various projects, and other clerical duties as needed. The assistant position is also responsible for assisting the Sales Representatives with quotes and helping answer customer’s questions on layouts, shipping, and order status. • Handles quote request and order entry as given by the Sales Representatives. • Answers customer incoming calls in a professionally and courteous manner. • Performs basic support assignments such as template style correspondence, • Records departmental information accurately and timely. • Handles file management and organization. • Handles report related tasks in a timely and efficient manner. • Provides clerical and administrative support to one or more support functions. • Types, files, prepares, & inputs order in a timely and accurate manner. • Prepares Marketing mail outs to customers as per the Sales Representatives direction. • Uses basic problem-solving skills to resolve customer problems. • Additional duties as assigned. • High School Diploma or GED required • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Business, Marketing or related field preferred • 3 years of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required. • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts. • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. • Ability to work with and influence peers and management. • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. • Ability to work overtime as necessary. • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; and talk, hear and see. • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.
