Head of Sales – Central Europe

MacGregor Black are proudly partnering with a leading Outdoor Lifestyle Brand, seeking a Head of Sales – Central and Western Europe to drive their sales strategy across the region. Based in Munich, this permanent role is critical to expanding the brand’s footprint in Europe while maintaining and growing relationships with key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop a high-performing sales team across multiple territories within Central and Western Europe.
2. Manage and strengthen relationships with key retail accounts and buying groups, positioning the brand as a trusted strategic partner.
3. Develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth across multiple regions while ensuring consistent performance across all accounts.
4. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, logistics, direct to consumer) to align on go-to-market strategies, product launches, and regional initiatives.
5. Oversee the execution of sales strategies across key European markets, with a focus on both organic growth within existing accounts and securing new business opportunities.
6. Act as the key decision-maker, ensuring alignment between senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and your sales team.
7. Monitor and manage regional sales budgets, forecasting, and performance, ensuring targets are met and profitability is maintained.
8. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and retailer needs to refine sales approaches and maintain the brand's competitive edge.
What are we looking for?
1. 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record managing retail accounts and buying groups in the sports, outdoor, or fashion apparel and footwear industries.
2. Strong customer relationship management experience with key accounts and buying groups in the outdoor or lifestyle sector.
3. Experience managing multiple territories, including navigating the complexities of diverse European markets.
4. A natural leader with a passion for empowering your team, fostering talent, and driving performance.
5. Exceptional relationship-building skills and a consultative approach to account management.
6. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance short-term sales goals with long-term strategic objectives.
7. Fluent in English and German. Other European languages is a plus.
8. Experience in managing sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure objectives are consistently met.
