About the Role
We are seeking a Multimedia News Reporter to join our dynamic news team.
The key focus of this role is working on the daily news schedule. The successful candidate must have mojo experience. Reporting to the Group Head of News, the Multimedia News Reporter will support the news team across all our stations and the Network News service of Independent Local Radio Stations.
This role includes some weekend / out of hours working dependent on activity.
What you'll do:
1. Attend markings at the direction of the Editor
2. Chase breaking and emerging stories
3. Develop new news lines on existing stories
4. File to hourly deadlines
5. Record and edit audio and video in the field
6. Provide detailed analysis and conduct seamless Q&A’s live on air tailored to a variety of radio programme format
7. Work unsocial hours including weekends

8. You are an experienced multi-media broadcast journalist with a first- class radio and digital skill set.
9. You have an all-consuming interest and passion for news, current affairs, and original journalism.
10. Your contacts book is unrivalled.
11. You have excellent storytelling skills.
12. You are a superb copywriter with the ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
13. You have a thorough knowledge of the regulatory, legal environment and institutions of the state.

16. You have a third-level degree in Journalism or a related discipline.
