Role Summary:
TheMedical Affairs Director – Neurologywill be responsible for leading medical strategy, providing scientific and medical expertise, and supporting the successful launch of new products in the German market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical affairs, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in product launches within neurology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute themedical affairs strategyfor neurology products, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives.
* Leadpre-launch and launch activities, including key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, medical education, and market access support.
* Establish and maintain strongrelationships with healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory authorities.
* Providescientific and medical leadershipto cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory, and clinical development.
* Leadmedical governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
* Drive the development ofmedical education programs, advisory boards, and scientific symposia.
* Collaborate with global and regional teams to provide medical insights that shape brand strategy.
* Supportclinical developmentby providing medical expertise for study design, investigator engagement, and data interpretation.
* Oversee thegeneration and dissemination of scientific data, including real-world evidence, medical publications, and congress presentations.
* Manage and develop a high-performingmedical affairs team.
Key Requirements:
* Medical Degree (MD), PhD, or PharmDwith a strong background in neurology.
* Significant experience (8+ years) in medical affairs, ideally within a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
* Proven track record in product launches, particularly in neurology or related therapeutic areas.
* Strongleadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
* In-depth knowledge ofGerman healthcare systems, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
* Experience inKOL engagement, clinical research, and evidence generation.
* Excellent communication skills inboth German and English.
* Willingness to travel as needed within Germany and internationally.
