Position Summary
The Global Head of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the global sales team, driving revenue growth, and expanding the company's market presence. This role will oversee all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall entrepreneurial business objectives.
* Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. Further develop the team in recruiting suitable profiles.
* Identify and target new market opportunities, expanding the company's customer base in various regions.
* Negotiate and close complex sales deals with distributors and OEMs.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers.
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
* Strengthen the strategic product portfolio in close cooperation with the technical teams
* Track and report on sales performance, including revenue targets, market share, and customer satisfaction.
* Develop and implement sales enablement programs to equip sales teams with the necessary tools and resources.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
* Proven track record in sales leadership, with experience managing global sales teams and achieving revenue targets in the mining industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
* Willingness to global travel extensively.
* Several years of sales experience with drilling consumables in various drilling applications
* Technical know-how and interest in technical complexities
* Competent and friendly behaviour combined with the ability to prevail and negotiate
* Results-oriented working methods
* Hands-on approach
* Team spirit, reliability, resilience, and communication abilities
* Comfortable with MS Office applications
* Very good command of English, knowledge of another foreign language is desirable (German is an advantage)
Additional Information:
* The role is remote with regular visits in Walkenried, Germany
* The position will report to the Managing Director
