We are looking for a Crew Coordinator / Planner to join our team in the Rotterdam region. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling crew efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulations. As a Crew Coordinator / Planner, you will be responsible for effective crew scheduling, ensuring vessels are staffed 24/7 while complying with regional laws and the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). You will work within a team alongside a Crewing Manager and two other planners, handling both short-term adjustments and long-term workforce planning.
Your responsibilities include:
* Coordinating crew assignments and ensuring smooth scheduling
* Managing last-minute changes and resolving disruptions efficiently
* Being on call every three weeks to handle urgent scheduling matters
* Using the Ortec planning system to manage crew rotations
* Coordinating logistics, including crew transportation, accommodations, and meals
* Collaborating with suppliers, training centers, and maritime institutions
* Maintaining documentation, crew certifications, and compliance records
* Supporting career progression for crew members, such as training paths for promotion
Requirements:
* MBO / HBO level of education and thinking
* Previous experience in planning / scheduling (maritime sector experience is a plus)
* Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
* Proficiency in computer systems (experience with Ortec is an advantage)
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
