Job Title: Senior Solar Project Developer | Senior Solar-Projektentwickler:in Location: Germany (Remote, with occasional travel to Berlin office) Starting Salary: €100,000 Bonus Car Allowance About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Solar Project Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end development of utility-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) projects across Germany. As a remote position, you will work flexibly while staying closely connected to our Berlin office, where occasional in-person collaboration will be required. Key Responsibilities: Project Development: Manage the complete lifecycle of utility-scale solar PV projects, from site identification to achieving ready-to-build status. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and grid connection analyses to determine project viability. Oversee permitting processes, including managing environmental impact assessments and liaising with regulatory authorities. Negotiate land agreements with landowners and municipalities. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, community representatives, and investors. Represent the company in public hearings and stakeholder meetings. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks throughout the development process. Financial Oversight: Prepare budgets, track project costs, and optimize financial performance. Collaborate with financial teams on securing funding and negotiating PPAs. About You: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of utility-scale ground-mounted PV projects. Proven track record of successfully bringing projects to ready-to-build status. Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of the German renewable energy market, including permitting, grid connection, and regulatory frameworks. Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Proficient in negotiation and stakeholder management. Familiarity with GIS tools and energy modeling software is a plus. Education: Degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Language: Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
