As a member of our family-owned group of companies, you will be responsible for sales in our Heinemann Duty Free Shops, leading your team to success in the areas of service, customer satisfaction and sales. As a Sales Team Manager you will
* enable your team to provide travellers with a memorable shopping experience, convert them into loyal customers and inspire them for the long term
* always be accessible to your customers and colleagues by being present on the floor, ensuring that decisions are made quickly and optimal solutions are found
* participate in the training and implementation of promotional activities
* provide a continuous flow of information to the sales team and take operational actions
* empower your team to achieve goals and make decisions in their area of responsibility
* foster a team culture of trust and respect, recognising performance and celebrating successes
* resolve customer complaints and customer/employee conflicts
* organise, inform, motivate and coach your sales team so that everyone can develop personally and professionally
* protect your team from mental stress and health-damaging underload/overload, and are responsible for supporting change and leading the team through conflict
* communicate breaches of employment law to the appropriate authority
* maintain a constant focus on the store's objectives and align sales processes with the General Sales Manager to achieve the best possible results and optimise product availability
Preferred Profile
* Several years of practical and management experience in a retail or customer-facing environment, ideally with product knowledge in the perfumery, cosmetics and fine food sectors
* Completed training in the service sector or comparable qualification
* Basic knowledge of MS Office and inventory management
* Fluency in German and English and ideally another foreign language
* An authentic demeanour and trustworthy relationship with your staff, enabling your team to achieve set goals and make independent decisions in their own area of responsibility
* An entrepreneurial mindset, an interest in innovative solutions and the ability to set, communicate and drive clear goals for the team
* A confident demeanour in challenging situations and a good overview in managing sales and team processes to ensure the performance of your business at all times
* A high level of flexibility to work early, late and weekend shifts
