Amazon is seeking a Transportation Planning Analyst to join Amazon's AMXL team in Luxembourg, UK, or Spain. The Transportation Planning Analyst is a passionate advocate to drive operational efficiency with analytical and strong interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an effective communicator and be able to work with cross-functional teams including Fulfilment Center Operations, Supply Chain, Delivery Stations, and Senior Management. This is a highly data-driven and analytical position in which every business opportunity and decision will be based on data and facts. It is a very well-balanced position between daily operations and advanced analytics / research. Key job responsibilities - Plan and shape EU AMXL transportation planning strategy; - Drive and own our quarterly guidance and plan of record planning for EU AMXL transportation - Improve Supply Chain efficiency through mathematical modelling and data analytics; - Carry out deviation analysis on transportation performance and system behavior; - Adapt, build and maintain key performance metrics, perform root-cause analysis on abnormalities, and identify improvement opportunities; - Initiate and manage transportation improvement projects and communicate with senior management; - Partner with software teams on tools, reporting standardization and system improvement; - Work across the EU and partner with the NA in a cross-functional environment, and maintain a strong communication process to ensure smooth and efficient flow of accurate information; About the team Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better. We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.
