The Department of Planetary Sciences and Remote Sensing is participating in ESA and NASA space missions. We are involved in the NASA Psyche mission. Psyche is a NASA discovery mission to the asteroid 16 Psyche, to study the initial conditions of the solar system during the formation and initial development of the planets.
The scientific and operational objectives of the participation over the entire mission period are in
detail:
• Support of stereo image planning and verification of image sequences
• Determination of surface topography
• Creation of orthographic and topographic map products
• Geological mapping and determination of surface age
As part of these tasks, a postdoc position is initially offered for the duration of the current project
period until March .
