Managing Director Germany
A fast-growing and competitive engineering company specializing in underground infrastructure is seeking a Managing Director for their new branch in Rhede, Germany. This company has evolved from practical experience to becoming a full-service engineering provider for the Telecom and Energy markets in Benelux and Germany. As part of their growth ambitions, they are looking for a Managing Director to lead the German branch.
Responsibilities:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for establishing and building up the branch office focused on engineering underground infrastructures in the Telecom and Energy markets. You will have operational responsibility for the German office, with the autonomy to build your own team and develop the company’s presence in the German market. The German branch falls under the larger corporate group, which will support you in ensuring the branch’s success. The group’s management expertise in technology, finance, and market developments will be at your disposal.
This role is ideal for a lead engineer ready to take a broader step into management, with experience in team leadership and final responsibility. Experience in reviewing drawings in AutoCAD, permit application processes, and setting up data administrations is preferred.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acquiring orders from the market and ensuring high-quality delivery to end customers
* Overseeing progress, quality, and timely delivery of engineering work, which is primarily carried out by a sister company within the group
* Building and managing a team, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment

Requirements:
* Proven experience in handling and delivering projects to end customers
* Experience with drawing programs and preferably project management tools.
* Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
* Minimum 32 hours per week
* Leadership experience
* Demonstrable knowledge of, and network in, the German underground infrastructure market
* Flexibility in work location and hours, primarily based in the Rhede area
