Grodan is looking to expand its recycling services in Central Europe, Southern Europe and Asia and for this reason we are looking for a resourceful Recycling Manager to service these markets. In this challenging position you are responsible for developing cost effective recycling services together with regional service providers. You will oversee recycling operations and ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations as well as enhance sustainability efforts across the company. You will be a critical part of the GRODAN’s producer responsibility.
You can work out of your home office in Central Europe, or out of our Headquarters in The Netherlands.

What are you going to do?
You will maximize our reclamation and recycling capability across your designated regions together with partners and suppliers, whilst driving the required improvements with key stakeholders.
• Set-up new collection and treatment services in new markets together with third parties.
• Ensure the operational continuity of existing recycling solutions.
• Develop new recycling options together with third parties.
• Meet the business and financial targets of our services.
• Expand, continuously improve and lower costs of existing services.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations in our various markets as they pertain to waste management.
• Work cohesively with our waste management team, responsible for other regions, supporting each other and sharing best practices.
• Support of our marketing, sales and product development teams on waste management and recycling related issues.
• Contribute to key multidisciplinary projects, requiring cross functional cooperation to deliver project goals.

As our new Recycling Manager you can work out of your home office in Central Europe or out of our headquarters in the Netherlands. You will be a member of Grodan’s Applications and Development department, responsible for the development of new growing media products and waste management services. Grodan’s headquarters are located in Roermond, the Netherlands, but due to the international character of the job work out of home-office is possible, and significant travel is expected.

What do we ask?
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in the development and operation of recycling services. A degree in Environmental Science, or a closely related field, and professional certifications and experience in waste management are required.
• Minimum Bachelor degree with acquired expertise in waste management and secondary raw materials;
• At least 5 years’ experience in waste management and recycling, with a proven track record of leadership in a dynamic and regulatory-driven industry;
• The sensitivity and ability to adapt to the different business cultures abroad;
• Excellent English language skills (business level); Polish is a pre.
• Ability to liaise with distributors, customers (internal and external) and other stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for developing creative solutions to complex recycling challenges. Strong communication and commercial acumen are essential for effective stakeholder engagement. Success in this role will be measured by the implementation and effectiveness of recycling programs, significant diversion to recycling solutions, and demonstrable cost efficiencies achieved.
