The Stores area creates the technical basis for efficient store processes by using the latest technologies. Our customers will be able to see the results of your work first-hand in all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide. Our processes are increasingly moving to mobile devices to provide store associates with the most up-to-date hardware and software support. To facilitate this strategic focus, we are continually expanding our current team of experts.
Your Job
What this role looks like.
* Assuming full ownership and acting as the single point of contact from a technical perspective for demands. The whole value creation process is covered: from idea formulation and design to development and testing all the way to rollout for our more than 7,300 stores worldwide. The corresponding expert support activities on level 3 are also included.
* Working closely within the product team, acting as the technical advisor for the Product Owner and translating business needs related to checkout processes into detailed specifications and user stories
* Acting as a counterpart and sparring partner for external development partners and vendors
* Reviewing and approving Sprint increments developed by external development partners and vendors; driving quality and operational excellence
* Acting as a trusted advisor for technical questions concerning our multiple checkout solutions
* Acting as an ambassador for the checkout area by sharing knowledge and good practices within your product team and beyond
* Providing swift support for critical live incidents, ensuring immediate assistance and troubleshooting for optimal outcomes
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
* Strong analytical and strategic skills with a background in requirements analysis
* Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques, such as user stories and use cases
* Experience working as part of an agile team, with the ability to adapt to new environments and changing requirements
* Basic understanding of the end-to-end software and product development process
* Interest in working in an international context with a variety of cultures; strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to thrive in diverse work environments
* Proficiency in English
Desirable extras.
* Experience in retail (particularly with checkout solutions) is highly advantageous
* Experience in software development is beneficial
* Certification in requirements engineering (e.g. IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering – Foundation Level)
