Join Our Team as a Junior Research Group Leader
Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, a German University of Excellence, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to lead a junior research group in the field of healthcare-associated bacterial pathogens.
About the Position
We are looking for a talented researcher with a strong background in microbiology, epidemiology, or a related field. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing research funding and publications, as well as a strong motivation for pursuing an academic career.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a junior research group in the field of healthcare-associated bacterial pathogens
* Conduct cutting-edge research in genome-based epidemiology, antibiotic resistance, virulence and immune evasion mechanisms, microbiota interaction, outbreak modeling, or infection control
* Collaborate with central DZIF projects related to healthcare-associated infections
* Enhance basic and translational research within the highly interactive and interdisciplinary network of IMIT and DZIF
* Integrate into Tübingen-based German Research Council-funded research networks
Requirements
* MD (preferably) or PhD degree in microbiology, epidemiology, or a related field
* Proven track record of securing research funding and publications
* Strong motivation for pursuing an academic career
