As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, secure and scalable payment solutions. You will belong to a small architecture team whilst working with people in different roles throughout the organisation, from developer to leadership. You will neither sit in an ivory tower nor create Powerpoints, instead you'll take responsibility for projects through to production, experiencing the feedback loop of your decisions. People will regularly ask for your help not because of a hierarchy, but because they recognise your technical expertise in pragmatic solutions. Your Tasks: Help customers to integrate our products seamlessly, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and landscape, and driving continuous improvement in our offerings Support development teams to design, implement and run software solutions that meet business needs and align with our strategy Balance teaching engineering teams to be self-sufficient with stepping in at the right moment and getting your hands dirty Understanding that the true business requirements of software systems go far beyond features, equip teams to address quality requirements (NFRs) early in the development cycle and ensure they are ready to go to production at any time With a company-wide technology perspective, take responsibility for technology initiatives to create value for the company whilst understanding trade-offs. Make or buy? Duplicate or re-use solutions? Enforce simplicity or support freedom? Communicate. Listen to and understand business stakeholders, developers and management. You'll communicate on technical and non-technical levels, fostering a shared understanding across the organisation Learn. You will face many situations where you don't know the right answer. You'll receive and give support and guidance in our team, and stay up-to-date with industry best practices via trainings, books, conferences or similar Your Experience: A strong hands-on, technical background Current coding skills are optional, we have a mix of coding and non-coding architects Experience as a Solution Architect or doing similar tasks unofficially.
