The Company:
A highly successful investor, developer, and IPP of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Further expansion within a number of markets has created the opportunity for a COO in Germany in order to drive the growth of the organisation and ensure delivery to their ambitious but achievable 5 year strategy.
The Role
The role will be to Operate & Commercialise their large portfolio of Utility Scale renewables, hydrogen, and battery storage projects, whilst supporting the significant growth of their global greenfield and M&A pipeline.
Some duties would include:
* In close cooperation with the management board and the company’s international teams, support the operation & growth of their diverse international asset base.
* Develop and execute 3-5 year global strategy, to support accelerated growth and to operate at Scale whilst driving efficiency & profitability.
* Collaborate in the Development & Construction of an annual 300MW - 500MW+ pipeline of ready to build and greenfield Utility Scale projects.
* Ensure success in areas such as PPAs, Financing, Pre-Construction, Construction, Asset Management.
* Oversee development of processes, tools, and best practices for effective Asset Management, and for interfacing & reporting across all internal and external stakeholders.
* Structure SPVs & undertake board level responsibilities.
* Build, lead, and develop a high performing global team.
* Coordinate support to the Project Development & Execution divisions in order to ensure effective planning & execution to support realisation of ambitious goals.
* Lead & establish relationships with OEMs, financial institutions, O&M operators, governments, and major offtakers across region.

The Person
* The successful candidate will likely have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or Engineering.
* 3+ years in a leadership position with a renewables company.
* Experience leading negotiations with counterparts across the various areas of the development and construction lifecycle.
* Strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen.
* Speak English, also speaking German would be advantageous.
