Design Manager- Data Centre- Contract – Frankfurt

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth, and require the expertise of an Design Manager. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor to their development to their client's requirements.
Design Manager Responsibilities:
1. Conduct weekly meetings with design teams to provide feedback and assist in addressing concerns and removing roadblocks
2. Provide a detailed update report on region to the Senior Design Manager
3. Provide technical documentation, answers and validation to client RFPs (Request for Proposal)
4. Report on Design progress, quality and CAPEX & OPEX saving opportunities
5. Support the New Site Development teams with data centre design Scope of Works, Design Deliverables, Project Charter creation and implementation, and CA (Contract Administration) Scope of Works,
6. Enforce and pursue coordination between internal engineering teams across all disciplines to ensure products delivered to Operations are streamlined and optimised to meet the needs of the business across all functions, inclusive of As-builds and trainings.
7. Support the procurement teams with OFCI/CFCI tender package preparation, proposals review, awarding, SoW (Scope of Work) and submittals validation
8. Support the procurement teams with SOW preparation for supporting partners.
9. Support the construction teams with data centre commissioning for new and retrofitted data centres.
About you:
10. Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field, from an accredited university or college
11. 2+ years of experience in data centre design management or equivalent managerial positions required 3+ years preferred.
12. Data Centre experience is preferred.
13. Experience in EMEA construction markets is preferred.
14. Working knowledge of critical cooling infrastructure and critical power infrastructure data centre project
15. Working knowledge of building and fire codes ordinances
16. Fluent in language of assigned region/location
17. National and international travel required is expected to be between 25% and 50% but may vary over time as the business evolves.
