Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.
Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent operates gasoline or diesel vehicles with gross vehicle ratings (GVWRs) of up to 26,000 pounds. Also operates vehicles which would include pickups, carryalls, 1 to 12-ton straight cargo trucks, vans, and stake-bed trucks. Vehicles may be equipped with a manual transmission having more than four forward speeds. Vehicles may have more than four driving wheels; and driving controls such as gearshift, brake pedal, accelerator, and clutch. Independently accomplishes and directs the receiving, unloading, stocking, and issuing of repair parts on a regular and continuing basis. Performs a combined warehousing/motor vehicle/fork-lift operation. Research parts and vendor locations for purchases of parts. Incumbent operates trucks to haul equipment, supplies, and other motor vehicles to support U.S. Army Alaska (USAG-AK). Incumbent drives on and off post locally. Directs and assists in the loading and unloading of vehicles, securing loads, and ensuring vehicles are not loaded beyond their rated capacities. Assists in the loading, lashing, and securing of cargo on the trucks, as required. Observes all local and various location speed limits. Performs driver's maintenance, e.g., checks and services vehicles with gas, oil, air, etc., in accordance with established rules and regulations. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out a driver's accident report in the event of an accident. Performs a wide variety of warehousing tasks including receiving, stocking, and issuing bulk supplies, and turn in of excess equipment. Packs, unpacks, sorts, repacks, and stacks materials in warehouses. Makes routine surveillance of items in storage and looks for obvious need for preservation; re-packing; and signs of deterioration, vermin, or pilferage; etc. Reports findings to supervisor for action. Plans item locations within a well-prescribed overall storage plan and internally tallies out stock. Spots conveyances at proper loading locations; performs or directs unloading; checks stock against supply documents for agreement; brings discrepancies to attention of superior; palletizes and assembles stock in temporary warehousing areas. Performs temporary space planning of stock locations within a well-defined storage area and makes routine changes in stock locations as necessary. Performs inventories and re-warehousing. Determines the basis for over, short, or misplaced items by checking stock-status information in issue requests, receiving reports, and locator records. Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain stock locations and work area in a clean and orderly manner. Issues and receives special tools and parts to mechanics. Signs for incoming supplies. Operates forklifts capable of lifting up to 15,000 pounds to move, load, unload, transfer, transport, stack, or un-stack palletized goods, boxes, crates, merchandise, materials, and supplies from one location to another. Performs preventative maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

• Es handelt sich um eine unbefristete Vollzeitstelle (38.5 Std./Woche). / This is a permanent full-time position (38.5hrs./week).
• Heben und Tragen bis zu 31 kg erforderlich. / Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
