The Head of Technical Field Operations (m/f/d) will lead the technical sales functions, managing a team of Solution Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and Customer Success Managers. This role is critical in driving the technical aspects of the Pre and Post sales process, working closely with the sales, product, and R&D to ensure potential customers fully understand the value of our solutions. You will be responsible for developing technical sales strategies, creating customer-specific demonstrations, and ensuring the team effectively supports sales in driving deals to closure and toward future success with the offering.

Your Responsibilities
* Team Leadership & Management: You lead, mentor, and manage the global technical field sales team, ensuring they provide high-quality technical support and guidance during and after the initial sales process.
* Technical Sales Strategy: You develop and implement a scalable technical sales strategy that supports business objectives and drives sales success. Align activities with the broader sales and marketing strategy to ensure cohesive customer engagement.
* Solution Engineering & Demos: You work closely with the team to create and deliver tailored product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations that address specific customer needs and pain points. You are responsible for maintaining the team's internal systems including testing/demo environments and the Customer Support Portal.
* Sales and Cross-Functional Collaboration: You partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements, define solution proposals, and support the sales process from a technical standpoint, including answering RFPs, RFIs, and other technical queries. Additionally, you align activities with the broader sales, products, and marketing strategy to ensure cohesive customer engagement.
* Customer Engagement: You act as a technical advisor to key prospects and customers, providing strategic insights into how our solutions can solve their business challenges.
* Product Expertise: You maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as the broader SaaS landscape, to ensure the technical sales team can confidently position our solutions as the best fit for customer needs.
* Process Optimization: You continuously evaluate and improve technical sales processes, tools, and resources to increase efficiency and effectiveness in supporting the sales cycle.
* Reporting & Analytics: You provide regular reporting to senior leadership on effectiveness and areas for improvement.
* Customer Feedback Loop: You collect and relay feedback from prospects to the product team, helping shape the product roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
Our Requirements
* 7+ years of experience in a technical sales role within the Cybersecurity landscape as well as 3-5 years of experience managing or leading an international technical sales team.
* Background within technical sales of Cybersecurity products.
* Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and technical sales tools (e.g., demo platforms, technical proposal software).
* Good writing and speaking skills in English.
* Good writing and speaking skills in German are beneficial.
* Excellent leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and scale teams.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
* Strong problem-solving and consultative selling skills, with the ability to design customer-centric solutions.
* Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and customer success teams.
