Our Marine & Logistics department within RWE is looking for a Senior Marine Project Manager to manage fleet-wide jack up vessels campaigns and other marine operations across the Offshore Wind fleet.
About the role
* Lead major marine campaigns for major component exchanges using Jack Up Vessels or scheduled maintenance campaigns using SOVs.
* Manage the technical part of the vessel procurement process by performing project management and driving the tender processes and contractual negotiations
* Act as contract manager for vessel contracts and perform active supplier management
* Coordinate internal and external parties, departments, functions and tasks, such as scheduling, engineering, insurance, certification, marine coordination, HSSE, sites, local authorities, vessel suppliers etc.
* Optimize campaign performance and marine operations across the fleet
* Lead onboard project managers and marine engineers and steer campaign execution
* Develop strategies for major component logistics and improve logistical performance
* Approve risk assessments, method statements, lift plans and operating instructions
Job requirements and experience
* Relevant marine background as Master Mariner, MWS or DPA, experience on a jack up vessel in a management function required
* Offshore wind experience required
* Deep understanding and proven operational experience of all kinds of vessel operations such as jacking, DP, lifting, etc.
* At least five years' experience in marine project management
* Excellent skills of written and spoken English language
* Willingness to travel (UK/CE) and willingness to work offshore for short periods
